Summer CSA 2016: Week 4

This week, we received: some kale, some scapes, some snow peas, and some sage.

Scott and I were out of town from Thursday through Saturday to explore the McCourtain Wilderness Management Area with a prospective graduate student of his to brainstorm study questions relevant to the area. So, we missed some of the produce and got what was left.

The kale was a little worse for the wear, and I composted some of it. The rest went into a cheesy (Parmesan) risotto with the scapes.

We snacked on the snow peas – so tasty!

And I sprinkled sage on things.
